Are there rental spots for fitness photoshoots in atlanta?

Absolutely, yes! But before we get into the rentals, let’s look a little closer to home.

We have found that photographing in your gym has been accepted 99% of the time as you already have a report developed with the owners and staff! This tends to be one of the best options as the owners tend to be quite flexible on when/where we do the photoshoot and they’re often eager to help out someone who already supports their business. Reciprocity goes a long way.

These are some of the gyms I’ve had the opportunity to photograph at in Atlanta due to these connections already in place: Body by Kariim Fitness, PT CrossTraining, American Top Team, LA Fitness, Gravity Fitness, Clarity Fitness, House of Payne, etc.

Atlanta is lucky to have SO many gyms and fitness facilities available. Some of these locations I have rented and others have exclusive access to because the model themselves already training there or because they were my clients before!

atlanta Peerspace gym rentals

If you don’t currently have access to a gym, live too far away or have a specific vision for your fitness photoshoot, renting a space can be the perfect solution. I frequently use platforms like Peerspace for my photoshoots, as they offer a wide variety of options for gym equipment, aesthetics, locations, and pricing. Atlanta is home to a plethora of small businesses that rent out their spaces, making it worth exploring as you plan your fitness photoshoot.

The beauty of renting a space is the ability to find one that aligns perfectly with your brand. Some clients may prefer the raw, gritty vibe of a boxing gym, while others might lean toward a bright, airy space with pristine facilities and even a dedicated kitchen to highlight the nutrition aspect of their services. With rental platforms, you can search for spaces that match your branding colors, feature the equipment you use in your training sessions, and reflect the overall aesthetic you’re aiming for.

Here are a few Peerspace gym rental options:
1. Salute the Grind is one I’ve photographed at a 3-4 times now. It’s small, but we do a lot with a little! I appreciate this option as a budget friendly, in-town option that meets most needs for a photoshoot. The images below are from Salute the Grind.
2. Other spots to consider - I haven’t been to these yet, but some look stellar for a fitness photoshoot.

unlisted atlanta Gym rentals

Over the Years I’ve created some solid relationships with athletes, personal trainers and gym owners in Atlanta that have opened up the opportunity for me to rent from them for our sessions despite not being listed on any rental platforms. Here are two that have are phenomenal for fitness photoshoots!

  1. Body By Kariim: This family-owned gym is run by fitness power couple Kariim and Laquisha Smith. Their space is a clean, minimalist layout with high ceilings and white brick walls. The color palette is primarily black and gray, ensuring that your brand styling takes center stage. Located next to the Westview Reservoir Park in West Midtown, the spacious 1,500 sq. ft. facility features floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, filling the area with natural light.

The gym is fully equipped with everything you need for a complete workout: a full range of dumbbells and kettlebells, box jumps, rowing machines, medicine balls, a leg press, bands, battle ropes, a pull-up bar, and all the essentials for compound movements like bench presses and squats—plus much more.

See Highlighting Body By Kariim Fitness for a detailed view of the space, the story and the team.

  2. Fit 360: I first met Fitzroy Smith in 2024 through an introduction by my former bodybuilding friend and personal trainer, Reginald Greene. At the time, I had already experienced one of the gym's intense circuit training spin classes and was struck by how impressive the space was. Spanning 3,000 sq. ft., the facility is divided into four distinct areas: the group class room, the main workout equipment room, the lobby, and the locker rooms.

The group class room offers ample open floor space, a roll-up door that floods the area with natural light, and a striking mural wall adjacent to a wall of mirrors stocked with all the essentials. The main workout space is equally impressive, featuring a wide range of cardio equipment, blue turf for sled pushes, workout machines, an Olympic weightlifting section, and a full array of dumbbells and barbells. Adding a personal touch, the space also includes a vibrant, multi-colored mural designed by Fitzroy himself
